Websites
The source for my websites, all built the same way.
Each site here is a static site: its pages are generated ahead of time by a static site generator (such as Zensical, MkDocs or Hugo), or written as plain HTML, so there's no server to run or keep patched. The repository is the whole site, and the generator turns it into files a CDN can serve.
How they're published
Every push is built by Forgejo Actions and published to Cloudflare Pages:
maingoes live on the site's own domain.- Any other branch gets its own preview URL, so changes can be checked in a real browser before they're merged.
Because each site is only a set of files and a short workflow, moving a site to another host, or starting a new one, is mostly a matter of copying that workflow.
